While I was employed with Alternative Home Health Care, there was a certain level of unprofessionalism that any sane human being could not stand for. When calling out, it was difficult to reach anyone and they would blame you for the lack of communication. When I was promised more hours, they declined to give me more information or a timeline of when said hours would be administered. 80/20 rule applies. 80% of the aides are of the low rung (don't speak English clearly, show no care or respect for the patient, are on their phones constantly) - and 20% are adequate. very few are people you would hire or retain if you were hiring directly. There are far better aides from some other agencies, do your research.

I can't speak for all the offices, but the one I have used has an incompetent manager. The aides are generally good (as aides go in South Florida) - IF - they show up. Good luck.
