After all the hype for a year I was underwhelmed. French onion soup was not a traditional version of the original and lacked taste and substance. Over cooked octopus, burger and pork chop. Disappointed overall.
The new restaurant Alter House in Clarks Summit did not disappoint! The food was delicious and the service was impeccable! A perfect place for a special night out.
Great Experience ! Food, Service, Wine list ! We had a big group and our waitress was so attentive. Beautiful atmosphere, hard to belueve you’re still in Clarks Summit ! I had the Shrimp with with homemade Capalini, Belisimo
Every review is a 5?? Can’t be. My girlfriend and I have no kids so we travel and eat out a lot. So we have experienced good and even great and have expectations of both. Here’s my account. Visited Alter House on Tuesday, April 17th. Called at 6:15 and was told that no tables were open til 8pm so we made a reservation for a table for 2. Had a great experience here on my first visit. Myself and a table of 8 friends I visited with were all pleased with the atmosphere, quality of food, plating and the service. The menu is very pleasantly diverse and everything from our starters to entrees were cooked and presented perfectly. At no point did I feel like our table lacked attention from the staff, they were spot on from start to finish. Wishing much success to Alter House.
