We have been billed since Feb for a Workers Comp ins. covered claim. Turned over for collections. I’ve called 8 times. Written 6 letters. Promised it would be cleared up. 7 months later I’m still getting past due bills and collection letters. Terrible business office to deal with!!! They are not competent. No one communicates with you. I got a debt collection letter in the mail today saying i owe them which I do not. I paid March 10,2023. I called the collections agency telling them I do not owe anything, told them I paid by debit card which comes out of the checking account. I had my third baby at Southeast Georgia Health Systems in Saint Marys,GA. Now waiting for a callback from the billing department.

These people use a billing service in Atlanta that tries to scam patients to pay huge amounts even after insurance has paid them. United Health Care said we owed $0, but they keep billing us and threatening with due dates and 'recoupment' charges. You can't talk to these people. Even the UHC reps can't get through to them. We're going to get an attorney and file suit. Maybe class action against Alta Anesthesia Assoc. and their bogus billing service in Atlanta.

If I could give '0' I would. These people are a nightmare. They charged an exorbitant amount compared to the surgeon's fee, then sent it to their 'collection' agency in Atlanta thereby insulating themselves from their improperly submitted insurance claim. United Health care has been trying to straighten their mess out for months on end to no avail.
