Al's Hamburgers

4.5

About this business

Even though the 50s are long gone, Al's benchmark burger, served Al's way, draws a whole new generation of fans. The lines out the door prove that, even in the 90s, a delicious double-cheeseburger is still in high demand. The crispy fries and grilled chicken breast are worth sampling, too. The casual decor and cheerful ambiance make this an excellent location for families. Many University of Texas at Arlington students also dine here for quality, affordable fare.

Al's is one of the finest, real old-time burger places in north central Texas. Open since forever, first as a drive-in restaurant on N. Collins in Arlington then at its new location at Green Oaks and Collins. Al's cooks burgers on a griddle and warms the buns on the griddle too, giving them that unique old-fashioned flavor and taste. Add on some great, golden, crisp fried onion rings or fries and you've got yourself a meal you won't forget. And to top it all some friendly, old-time servers and very reasonable prices. I don't live in Arlington anymore but if I ever make it that way, we love to get a burger at Al's!

The food has always been great since they opened all those years. Went today and it was as delicious as ever. Don't listen to the negative people and their bad comments. They have no idea of what good food is!
