Dr. Malkin saved my daughter’s life. 100%! It would take days to explain all of the details, but to sum it all up - There was literally about 10-15 doctors all going in circles around what to do with my daughter. Dr. Malkin wasn’t even the main one in charge of her case, but he went out of his way. He stepped up, he formulated a plan, and he saved her life. He is an awesome surgeon. He saved my daughters life and is the reason she doesn't have a permanent colostomy bag. Without him her intestines would have died if we had waited until the next day as the other Dr treating her had suggested. I am forever in debt to him.
My son was transferred to St Francis Peds with appendicitis. We were told that he needed surgery immediately. (He had been on IV fluids & antibiotics for 5 hours prior to arrival) Once there, he waited over 17 hours and his appendix perforated. It took over an hour to get pain meds prior to surgery, even knowing that he was on extreme pain. Highly recommend Dr. Malkan. In June, my son suddenly started bleeding through his stool. And continued until his hemoglobin dropped to around 7. We went to a local hospital and to Little Rock Childrens. Many doctors seen my son and ran test and everyone assumed intussusception. My son got released and the next day was running fever again so we went to St. Francis Children’s in Tulsa.
