This surgery by Dr. Rao was life changing for me. I can't thank her enough. I had not slept well for over a year, and this surgery gave me sleep! The absence of pain has changed my attitude. Thank you to all the Fairview staff. You were all wonderful.
When I was told I needed shoulder surgery, I began the process by completing hours of research to find the perfect orthopedic surgeon. I decided that Dr. Rao would be the best choice for me. She was very thorough about explaining the process and addressing my questions and concerns. She made recommendations in a way that made me comfortable with my decision. Dr Rao did some extensive repairs to my shoulder after 2 dislocations. She is very highly educated and skilled but at the same time she is extremely professional and personable with her patients. The first time I saw her, she sat in the room with me and my mom for about 45 minutes just answering our questions as if she had no place else to be. Dr Rao repaired my rotator cuff and did excellent work. My recovery went way better than expected. Everyone told me how long and painful the recovery is but mine was not too bad. A year later the shoulder has no pain and is stronger than the other one so I wanted to leave a review. Dr Rao is an excellent surgeon and I would definitely recommend her.
