I recently had Allied AC install a new HVAC unit. I had Allied here 2 other times to repair my unit but this last time it came down to putting a temporary bandaid on the problem (for $1,000+) or putting in a new unit. My tech, Don Smith, has been handling my service for years and when he left his last company, I felt strongly enough of the quality of his work and honesty that I called Allied for my new unit and ongoing maintenance. I got a full unit about 5 years ago. I have had to have them out multiple times a year and they never checked the whole unit. I have had them out so I never called for a full service call, because I thought they were checking it all out. They have charged me for a pump $350 plus which i dont need and I asked for a refund and to remove the pump. Since they did not look at the whole unit only what I said was happening.
