Nov.2 we stopped at this dealership to have the transmission checked on our Sierra 2500HD truck. We are traveling across the country with our Lance camper on the truck. We explained what the transmission had been doing. The truck has an Allison transmission and has never given us one bit of trouble....so we knew something was wrong. The shop did a check on it for us....said the air and fuel filter needed replacement....but found nothing wrong with the transmission. The bill was $333. This vehicle came into our service department with the complaint of hard shift on upshift and downshift, shuddering at times, and loss of power. We test-drove the truck and noticed that it seemed underpowered even though it had a camper in the bed. Upon inspection of the engine air filter, it was determined that it was restricted due to dust and dirt. We also inspected the fuel filter(an aftermarket NAPA fuel filter)and found sludge in the bottom of it. We tested the transmission and it passed all tests and no "codes" were p... read more
