Everyone says that if you have to be diagnosed, thyroid cancer is the one you want, but no one wants to have cancer. Even though it is treatable, I had a hard time processing the diagnosis. My surgery went very well but I was emotional afterwards and not feeling great. Dr Ho took the time to call me, after hours, to find out how I was doing and talked me through some of the specific issues I was dealing with.
