First off I do have several issues going on with the back. MRI showed narrowing and a curve in lower lumbar. That being said I was referred to him. I arrived early for appointment and got in to room about 15 min after my appointed time. However I was in room for almost and hour before doctor came in. The chairs are not comfortable to wait. This rating is not for Dan Altman it's for his staff the ones taking the appointments. I heard Dan Altman is a very good. My husband went to see another doctor that did an x-ray and ordered an MRI. He referred him to Dan Altman because his spine is shaped like a C in his lower back. So I called and made an appointment with Dan Altman and they couldn't see him for 2 weeks(mind you he is in pain when he is getting up and down) When I made the appointment 2weeks ago they took all my insurance information. I was very very fortunate to have dr. Daniel Altman…I have spinal stenosis and in the summer of 2009 the middle of my back collapsed and I could no longer walk or stand up so I went to see him and on top of telling me the bad news of surgery, and expressing the seriousness of it he was also kind and understanding and even funny at times.
