I went to er with severe pain after waiting for hours got a student nurse who couldn't start an IV. Left the room for 10 minutes forgot my phone. Told them it was missing. Stated it was there when the room was cleaned filed report. Still not found. Out 335 for my cellphone. Staff is rude and has no empathy. Want to get you off the list asap. Will not return. In May of 2022, I injured my back from taking care of a young man of 18 yo who had a massive seizure in the bathtub. I am an RN who was working for an agency. I carried him over to the couch. A few days later I started getting severe sciatic pain in my left leg. After enduring this for months, I finally decided to go to a neurosurgeon. I had my gallbladder removed today and was super nervous. The nursing staff kept reassuring me that everything was going to be ok. They were friendly and knowledgeable. The hospital is very clean and secure. My surgeon Dr. Hower is so amazing and has a great sense of humor which made me feel even more at ease. Don’t feed into all the negative comments about this hospital.
Suffered a massive heart attack on 12/11/20, and was life flighted too West Penn hospital. The staff was absolutely amazing, and exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend West Penn hospital
