I usually don’t do this but, my son had a liver transplant last year. The liver is doing great but while he was there we weren’t sure if we were going home with him again. Nursing staff is absolutely terrible. They wouldn’t listen when we would tell them he’s not eating. Lost so much weight they then had to put a feeding tube in. He was hallucinating terribly and they said he was fine. I missed 2 days the whole 3 months he was there. It’s impossible to speak to anyone who actually works in the hospital billing department. When you want to speak with someone, you’re connected to an overseas call center where there’s no connection to the actual Pittsburgh community. I’ve been trying for six weeks to speak personally with someone that actually works in the hospital about a billing situation. So much for compassionate care.
It’s the worst place on earth to get heart surgery. The nursing staff is atrocious. It’s a terrible place please don’t ever please don’t get heart surgery there. The nurses are terrible the surgeon doesn’t care about me maybe he wanted me to die before he had to do surgery on me
The ER department lost my phone my wallet and keys.
