I have been a music coach with a program with We Rock Workshop, a program sponsored by DHS for foster and former foster youth, and I have seen first hand how much the county cares for our youth. It's not easy to grow up, but I feel that our local caseworkers have very big hearts who see our county's kids as more than numbers or files, but as young people with promising futures. Much love to Allegheny County DHS, thank you all for the hard work you do to help our young folk thrive!
Almost impossible to deal with, the worst staff, the worst service and support, and more mistakes than any other government agency I have had the displeasure to deal with. They encourage fathers NOT to spend time with their children by treating us all like criminals and enforcing draconian rules that make it financially beneficial to give up custody.
