Thank goodness for the MA who took pity on me and saw me close to closing time. The provider had her purse on and was refusing to stay but the MA saw me and knew I needed help. I am so appreciative that they were willing to stay late.
My experience at this location is a testament to a broken healthcare system. I am 49 and legally blind due to late onset diabetes. My mother and I went to a pre-op appointment so that I could be cleared for cataracts surgery to regain most of my vision. We arrived and completed some additional paperwork before I was seen by the nurse to take my vitals. This place is advertised as a walk in clinic, but it is not. One provider I saw had such a thick accent that I couldn't understand her. One of the receptionists I meet was great, but the other had a very nasty attitude with me. Their lab is extremely slow, and though a follow up call was warranted with my circumstances, I didn't receive one. There are no real doctors on staff, only nurse practitioners from what I can tell.
