Dr Alla is my doctor for 3 years and I have to say that she is great. She was able to get my condition under control so I can now function a lot better. I wanted to compliment her front desk stuff, Ina and Oxana are both very polite and helpful, nothing is a problem.
When I called for appointment, I was told that the doctor take new patients. I mentioned that one of the reasons why I was changing my then current provider was the fact that I felt like we were not a good match and I was not very happy with him, all of a sudden Dr. Iospa became fully booked out. Well, doc, you have not even met me to make up your mind like that. But thank god there are so many other providers.
I want to compliment Dr. Iospa for her thoroughness, and empathy. She cares, spends time with a patient trying to get to the roots of the underlying problem. She answers questions and provides clear instructions. She calls back and has weekend coverage in case of an emergency. I can highly recommend her.
She is a very good doctor- knows what she is doing, very patient, spends time with patients, very understanding, helped me a lot!
I have never felt rushed. in fact she spent double the time with me compare to my previous doctor. My first appointment was like an hour if not longer, and following appointments are like 20 min. Sometimes, I wish i would be in and out fast, with my prescription. She is very caring doctor, good psychopharmacologist
Felt like she kept pushing addictive prescriptions on me even though I repeatedly told her addiction is a problem in my family. Otherwise I liked her, but can't have that.

When my father started showing signs of memory loss I brought him to Perl Barlow Memory Center, the Neurology group at NYU. They prescribed some meds and referred him to Dr. Alla Iospa for evaluation, because he mentioned suicidal thoughts. Dr. Iospa insisted on immediate hospitalization. I was angry and devastated. Dr. Iospa was very helpful through a tough period in my life, i am very grateful to her and to her staff. Her office is conveniently located and her staff is friendly.
