The VA appraiser required that a roof repair be done and that a letter from a roofer be submitted verifying the repair. Elaine Slaughter used a local, unlicensed contractor she knew to do part of the required repair but never told him about the leak. I verified that with him. She told the me the repairs were done before closing and after closing the leak showed up.
