Service department just told me that to replace a EVAP canister and filter plus 2 hours of labor will cost me $978!!! I called a repair shop that specializes in imports and gave me an estimation of $775 - $850 to replace the canister and filter, but they cannot work on my car until next week. They said that their labor charges are less than dealership and that their initial evaluation of the car is much less. The problem is that I need the car this weekend.
