First off, let me say that I called other stores here in Mobile and it seemed as if I were wasting their time just by calling. Seeing as we are in the middle of a pandemic, sewing machine companies are BOOMING right now - and, they have to be extra careful (so I wanted to mention that) - so I do get that they don't have a lot of time. This is a great and increasingly rare specialty shop. Sewing/embroidery machine purchases are supported by endless help. Various classes on embroidery have helped me get going in an area I’ve long wanted to master.
More reasonable prices on repairs. We called and inquired about bringing a machine in for repair, and were told that there would be a $149 dollar charge just to diagnose the problem. We took the machine to American Sew and Vac, and had the machine back in an hour after paying for an $11.00 part. The repair lady even threw in a couple of free items. So excited to have my Bernina1230 back in action. She had been serviced by another shop. They didn't fix the "clunk" when the handwheel was turned. I shared a lunch table with Sue at our guild's quilt show. She told me to bring it in. THANK YOU!!! Quick turn around, very reasonable cost! I am very pleased.
Wonderful shop! Awesome and knowledgeable staff! They are never too busy to help you solve your problem. Excellent inventory of fabrics, threads, machines, and almost anything for your sewing needs. Come in and see them. You'll like them!!
