Service was extremely slow. Restaurant was so noisy we couldn't hear our waiter!
Sat at the bar for 10 minutes and no one took our order. Weird.
Food was excellent. I will give you that. But after a two week reservation they gave our table away before we got there. We did call and change the reservation to a later time, but was told , 'no problem'. I would've accepted it had they said that wasn't an option but we came to the restaurant assured all was good. It was not. I asked to see the manager twice but was never given that opportunity . We were given a booth for four and told to manage. My husband was given a folding chair . My wife and I visited Durham and ate at Alivia's for the first time. Had bourbon BBQ wings and split a burger. Both were great, but the burger was on point. Perfectly cooked to order and packed full of flavors. Loved the atmosphere and music.
I guess there's a new chef? Very fine food in a relaxed atmosphere. Great meal.
