Was told they take the homeless with mental illness before sick kids. Waited 3 hours and 8 homeless were seen before a child with 102 fever.

After visiting Malta Emergent care I was shocked and disappointed with the quality of this emergency room. I had a packet given to me from Malta Med Emergent Care. I was told to give it to them when we got there. Check-in told me to give it to triage when we get called back, triage nurse stated i don't need that I can figure it out. Once we finally got brought back we were put into a room that wasn't even a room for medical emergencies. There was no call bell. Spent 9 hours in this hospital with deep lacerations that needed stitches. The nurses shruggled and said the average wait time is 7 hours. I ended up being glued together and sent on our way after the front desk called the cops on us wrongfully over a misunderstanding. I'd rather be given the old yeller treatment before returning to this hell hole.

The triage team was super kind and reassuring but unfortunately this ER is in desperate need of updates and a good cleaning. The chairs are incredibly uncomfortable, with ripped and dirty covers. If you’re waiting for 6 hours for a room the least they could do is provide clean proper furniture. Once you finally get back to the room there is holes in the walls, the beds provided are old and so worn they hurt your back while you sit in a hole. Call bells go unattended for over five minutes while you wait several more hours for... read more
