Grand Slam... After visiting Alfred Jewelers last year for a watch repair I decided to return to look for an engagement ring..Yea..It's time I pulled the trigger. I searched around so I knew what I wanted..Once again John hit it out of the park..Great guy, friendly, wealth of knowledge..He told me he was in business for over 40 years..He must be doing something wright..His price was far better than I found anywhere...Play Ball with him..lol....Peace...
Snobs.. These reviews must be written by friends or family. The owner is the most rude man I have ever met. He completely snubbed me and acted like he wasn't good enough to be in his job. After years of my family giving him business I thought I would too. Now I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.
LousyandRude The best place for rude know it all service!!!!!! If you want to feel like you are not important go here. Also make sure your white as snow or he will look over the top of his glasses at you.
Wonderful Experience I just got my girlfriends engagement ring from Alfred Jewelers and had a wonderful experience. I shopped around a half dozen Jewelers before I decided to go with John. The rest of them made me feel like I was buying a used car. John on the other hand is not by any means a hard sell. He is an absolute expert on diamonds and competitively priced. Dr. B. Alfred Jewelers is a little gem located in the center of town in Glen Rock. The owner, John, is a gemologist and a very creative designer. He will find you a rare stone, restyle your grandmother's ring or change the battery on your watch with the same smile and enthusiasm. If he doesn't have what you are looking for, he will find it or design and make it.
Don't miss this gem of a place I recently found myself in need of a watch repair. I took my watch to a chain store at the mall the price quote was over 300$. A friend that was with me recommended his Jeweler..Alfred Jewelers. We took the watch to Alfred that same day..guess what..It was just the battery..and the charge 10$..They have a customer for life...
Go Here If You Havent Already Definitely Reccomed this place! Its not your usual 'Jewelery superstore warehouse'... The store has personalized service and great management, not like the larger stores who push junk product on you for commission. Went a few weeks ago for a very specific ring for my wife and they had nothing similar, so the owner (John I think) drew out a design and had it made for me in less than a week!! And most importantly my wife loves it!! Now that's some good service..
