Here is the situation. My dad fell today and cut up his head and knee real bad. We threw some quick bandages to stop the bleeding and went to go to the urgent care in Banner Elk to see if somebody could attend his wounds. It turns out that the Banner Elk Urgent Care has closed their doors for good. (How does urgent care go out of business?). Good, classic, family doctor, with a life’s worth of good judgement, and a get-it-done attitude. He takes the time to know you and your family and works collaboratively with you to ensure that you are taken care of. He called me last night at 7PM to check on me and I about jumped out of my skin with surprise because I’ve never had a doctor show that much concern. My family and I couldn’t be any happier with him!
Dr Earwood is a wonderful Dr. HOWEVER, office staff will not answer the phone nor call you back in a timely manner… I know multiple people who have said the same thing. Such a shame since he is a GREAT Dr.
Dr. Earwood, the only Primary Care Physician I will ever see. Dr. Earwood & his Assistant who comes in the room with him, and Renee who receives all calls from his patients never fails to call back, are all by far the most helpful and t kind of any medical firm I've ever been associated with. Dr. Earwood listens, and he sincerely cares about how you feel, takes the time to get to know you as a patient not a number on a chart.
