I would not go to another dentist. Dr. Alfant is knowlegeable and makes the patient feel comfortable.
He is a wonderful periodontist. I have been going to him for about 30 years and have always had a very pleasant experience. He is thoughtful, thorough, and the most adept dentist I have ever seen.
I alternate a visit between Dr. Alfant and a general dentist every 3 months. While I have switched into many dentist, my trust and confidence in Dr Alfant has been unshakable in the past 30 years.
Dr. Alfant is an outstanding DDS. A recent extraction and gum surgery was painless as was post surgery. He personally called me after regular work hours to check on my condition and advised he was available 24/7, if needed. His suggestions for needed future procedures were practical and considerate of cost. His office staff are very pleasant and efficient. They called me and suggested I come in 1/2 hour later than my scheduled appointment due to them running late. Very considerate.
An amazing dentist. Dr. Alfant is courteous and great at what he does. He is genuinely concerned about his patients and it shows. The wait time at his office was minimal and his staff is very friendly. It's hard to find someone as great as he is. I highly recommend!

Excellent periodontist. Very knowledge about medicine as well as dentists in the area. I am using for regular dentistry the DDS he recommended. Urges patients to follow proper procedures to care for their teeth. Savvy in all dental and gum protection/preservation issues. Took me a bit of time to find Dr. Alfant. Have received his help since moving to Melbourne-Palm Bay FL in 1999. Excellent location on Hwy 192 in downtown Melbourne. Highly recommend
