A great store that has passed the test of time. They must be doing things right. Service has always been the major strength of Alex's. When I started working there it was drilled into me to be friendly and ask people if they needed help finding anything. I visited the other Manhattan stores and they didn't even acknowledge your presence unless you asked them a question and then they would point to the area where you might look for yourself.
