I went to see Dr Alexis Young for an appointment on Tuesday and when I got to the office they took me back into one of the patient rooms asked my why I was there I told them everything then the nurse said dr young will see you in a minute. The nurse walks out not even 30 seconds later another nurse walks in and tell me that dr young can’t see something with my insurance. It all sounded extremely strange. I really wish I had taken the time to read the reviews before wasting my time to come here. But I was in desperate need to have someone check out my daughter who was in pain. After taking a half day and driving bearly an hour away, I was turned away "because she didn't want to see my daughter since she already had a dermatologist." I was trying to book a different dermatologist and they were not available so the phone system referred me to Dr. Young. I wish I had read the reviews. Today (02/26/2025) was my first and will be my last visit. For over $70 I spent less than 5 minutes with the doctor. She came in looking agitated, she “examined me” from about 4 feet away and diagnosed me immediately, she answered my questions but they didn’t seem too thoughtful. Read the reviews! I noticed the reviews before I booked the appointment but did not believe the comments were that impactful. Dr. Young needs more constructive guidance on customer service. Your output to customers strongly determines your skillset. Dr. Young is not equipped for public service. During my visit, she spent a minimum of 5 minutes answering my questions and seemed disconnected from me, as a patient. I spent more time gaining valuable insight on Google than in her office. I visited this dr she had absolutely no patience during the visit. She told me I needed a minor procedure which could be done during the visit but I wanted to think about it first. I then decided to do it and I took another appointment. The office called me the day of the appointment and said that the Dr doesn't do this type of procedure.
