Dr. Shaefer is wonderful. Our town is lucky to have her.
Some of the staff is kind, but others treat you like you’re an idiot. EEG tech was extremely rude when performing my test. My BIGGEST issue was the $150 no show fee they tried to charge for rescheduling after I was sick & had already prepaid my $30 copay for the visit that I missed. Dr. Shaefer refused to refill any meds before I had an appointment scheduled & wouldn’t schedule until I paid another $150. Took time and answered all my questions.
She will scream at you for no good reason. If she is on call you can expect her screaming at you that’s very unprofessional to be treated like that because you need her help. Something is going with her but it’s just unkind to take it out on patients during their time of distress
We had an appointment scheduled for tomorrow and received a hostile call from Wendy that they had to cancel because my husband was seen by a neurologist in Statesboro 7.15 Yes he was seen and nothing happened. We decided he was not the doctor for us. He was arrogant and unwilling to review tests done at beginning of this month. Then refused to complete the paperwork needed for my husbands leave of absence.
