I saw him a while back. I recently saw his notes in my own chart and I'm livid. Let me preface this by saying I don't have kids, I've never had kids, I've never been pregnant. He was 40+ mins late to my appt, AFTER I had been admitted to the exam room. As an hourly employee, who had to take PTO for appointments, this was not without consequence for me. I told him that I had a psuedo joint and chronic lower back pain. Imaging had also revealed degenerative disc disease. (L5 and L4 both dehydrated.) I thought it was Bertolotti... read more
Dr. Falicov took less than 10 minutes to go through my symptoms , reviews of MRI, reports that I had brought in. He decide that my symptoms were not urgent enough to do anything at this point even though I am in daily excruciating pain and I am unable to walk well . He said to give it time for my injuries to heal 17 months later from initial injury. FYI walls are very thin and you can hear all the conversation of other patients. Very disappointed.
Great doctor with major surgical skills. Positive, confident, energetic, thoughtful in resolving problems; outlines what needs to be done, how it will be done and why follow up will progress as it does. Might be better, perhaps, in "bed side" manner, but was absolutely clear in how things would transpire during and after surgery. My second hip replacement with him, and I wouldn't change anything.
I thought my life as I had know it was over; experienced excruciating pain and was in a wheel chair unable to find a place to alleviate the pain. Dr Falicov changed all that and with relatively minimally invasive surgery has brilliantly intervened and enabled my optimism for the future. Unequivocally recommend this learned, skilled, fine physician. Thank you Dr Falicov; I am most grateful.
Dr. Falicov performed a vertebrectomy for me about 3 months ago. totally relieved my pain and numbness in left arm, has helped me rebuild the strength in my left shoulder. Others thought I had a rotator cuff tear, but nothing showed on MRI. He figured out the problem, had very clear explanations, told me exactly what he planned to do, and it has worked out well. Scary process, but he has a reassuring manner: I trust him and it is working out well.
Dr. Falicov is an excellent surgeon, I was out riding my horse 5.5 weeks after my surgery, yes I did the PT work but he gave me the best implant so that i can ride my horse, I am having my other knee done in the next week and I can't wait to be pain free on those long back country rides!
Follow up care with this doctor is almost non-existant. He seems to be interested in the surgery part, and not post surgery care or concern. Impossible to reach his assistants, nearly impossible to get a call back. I am so disappointed.
