UPDATE: After leaving the review, the new store manager contacted us and sent someone out to repair the issues right away. The same installer came out and fixed everything up. The installer and new manager were both very apologetic for the experience. I hope they’re able to keep the positive experience going for other customers. Thank you! Not the experience that I expected.
We purchased carpet from Alexanian Carpet & Flooring in December and unfortunately have had a very disappointing experience. The installation was poorly done, with visible seams, raised areas, folding in spots, and damaged spot on the carpet. We contacted the Barrie store immediately and spoke with Rob to report the issues. It has now been three months, and despite following up, including reaching out to head office, we have not received a resolution. Got laminate plank flooring installed and it has cracked, shattered, and edges peeled up in multiple places. We had to pay to get it fixed and it happened again within months. We were told it was our fault because we dont keep temp consistent (we keep it at 21 degrees year round) and then were told it was out fault because the flooring isnt meant to handle heavy objects like our couch 🤦♀️ no kids, two adults who work, and flooring can’t handle anyone walking or living on it.
Horrible customer service after the install. They will not come and look at the flooring to cover the warranty. Been chasing them for 13 months. They avoid you as much as possible and when they do amswer its to tell you they will call you back.
