We purchased carpet from Alexanian Carpet & Flooring in December and unfortunately have had a very disappointing experience. The installation was poorly done, with visible seams, raised areas, folding in spots, and damaged spot on the carpet. We contacted the Barrie store immediately and spoke with Rob to report the issues. Got laminate plank flooring installed and it has cracked, shattered, and edges peeled up in multiple places. We had to pay to get it fixed and it happened again within months. We were told it was our fault because we dont keep temp consistent (we keep it at 21 degrees year round) and then were told it was out fault because the flooring isnt meant to handle heavy objects like our couch 🤦♀️ no kids, two adults who work, and flooring can’t handle anyone walking or living on it.
Horrible customer service after the install. They will not come and look at the flooring to cover the warranty. Been chasing them for 13 months. They avoid you as much as possible and when they do amswer its to tell you they will call you back.
Jonny is a kind and knowledgeable staff! I ultimately didn't end up choosing to go with their products (only because they didnt have the colour/style within my budget) but I had a great interaction with Jonny and wouldn't hesitate to shop at Alexanian in the future.
Even though we came in close to closing the staff member did not rush us. They spent the time answering our questions and didn't give off any pushy vibes. They have a great selection of area rugs as well!
