The ladies that run this company are amazing. They are incredibly compassionate, caring, and understanding. We had a very difficult situation and from the moment they were made aware of the issue they did everything they could to ensure it came to a positive conclusion. From an outside perspective, the people that work there are wonderful. They have a hard job of communicating between the property owners and the issues that come up from the property renters, and more often than not, they get blamed for the owners unwillingness to fix an issue. They work with people from all walks of life regarding applications. Good people to work for and reasonable prices on their rentals. I would suggest them to any of my friends looking to rent.
They are awful people they never told us how many caged pets were too many we stated on our application that we had SEVERAL page cages with rats in them. We are being kicked out as a result. They have been rude and stuck up the whole time and we left our laundry in the dryer ONE time on accident and then it was the only thing she brought up every time she saw us. Usually the only people who leave reviews are the unhappy people. But I had an awesome experience with Gates Realty! They were kind and generous and treated me like a person. I loved the apartment I rented from them for over a year and a half. Plus I got my entire deposit back. They were great!

They are the BEST property management company I have ever rented from. They are very quick with repairs, getting your depoist back and they are very honest!! I love there property manager Cori she is great always willing to hellp! I would recommend them to everyone! If you are looking for a rental call them first they are cheapest application fee in town!!!
We are the perfect tenants. We paid our rent in a lump sum at least 6 months in advance, we gave more than 30 days notice, and we left that place so amazingly clean. The property manager did a walk thru with us and everything was perfect. We moved out on June 20, 2013 and it is now 7/15/13 and we have not received our deposit back yet. I called when it was late and they said it would come within another week but it never came. By law a landlord in Wa has to return a deposit within 14 days. They are a bunch of crooks!!! I specifically asked, in a letter that I gave them with my notice, to be present for the walk through and was never contacted and then I got a letter in the mail, after the time frame they were supposed to get me my deposit back, saying I wasnt getting my deposit back because they had to charge me for some things. I called to find out what they were charging me for and Cori was completely rude to me and said it was for the sink not being cleaned, a drip down the side of the freezer and the blind... read more
As an owner, I have found working with this company very frustrating. As I pay them to "manage" my property, I end up managing it with coordinating the repairs and the tenants. Charges are posted without notifying me and getting a copy of repair bills from them has been trying. To top it off, the checks for the rent arrive well after the "contracted" date. I cannot speak as a tenant, but as an owner, I feel that this company should provide much more for the fees that they charge.
