HIDEOUS! The owner of this store is the rudest, most vile and unprofessional shopkeeper I have ever met. I had been warned by friends that the owner was an angry "I get off on having a minuscule amount of power within the realm of my bead store" kind of person, but I needed something. I was shopping at Whole Foods so it was convenient. First off, she glares at you if you bring a child into the store. Alexander's Bead Bazaar This bead store has an amazing amount of beads and stones to choose from. The strings of semi-precious stones look like they could be used as jewelry with no other work. It is easy to spend more time than you intend to just browsing. That said, if you bring in the younger set they will be watched like a hawk, so it is an interesting experience to let them choose pieces to use in a craft project.
Jewelry Artist I have ALWAYS been treat with courtesy and professionalism at this establishment. I drive over 20 miles to get to this store but if I need unique, higher quality beads, findings and great help and ideas, this is where I go. Unique Store I went to Alexander's for the first time yesterday. Had so much fun I didn't want to leave! The proprietors were great - fun to talk to and very helpful. If you are looking for unique, this is the place. Their offerings are completely different from the other (very few) bead shops in Seattle and I like them too. Beautiful gemstone bead offerings and lots of great bargains.
gemstones great gemstone selection!!! best in seattle, maybe even best on the west coast. blows any gem show out of the water. the people are knowledgeable, just ask and they'll share...insider tip: ask to see the antiques at the back of the store. they're amazing!
