Great find off the beaten path – This place is tucked into the heart of uptown Charlotte in the quaint neighborhood of 4th Ward. Great menu with lots of options. Try the "What It Is" and the fried pickles! Go early on the weekends to avoid the crowd.. especially in the winter.
Amazing Nachos!! – Alexander Michael's definitely makes the best nachos I have ever had. If you're feeling generous you can order them as an appetizer to share, but after that first bite, you will want them all to yourself!!!
Alex Michael's – SOOOO ideal for a first date: --The neighborhood is so dear that you already feel warm and cozy before you've stepped foot indoors. --And it not too quiet nor too loud for those quiet types struggling to keep the conversation movin.' It's JUST right. ...OR your 40th date: --A true "neighborhood bar" where a first name basis is a promise if you keep up on your end of the deal.

Great 1st Impression! – I was very impressed with the atmosphere and service. It was dark, comfortable, and laid back. Each table was romantically candle lit. The food was pretty good. It was packed, but it only took 10 minutes for a table to open. Free public parking is right around the corner.
