RecommendedVic and his assistant did a wonderful job gelding my 2 year old that happens to bleed extremely from the tiniest booboo. I’ve had a lot of horses gelded in my lifetime and this was the only one that almost scared me into keeping him a stud. Vic listened to my concerns and was completely prepared to suture him and go the extra mile. It’s been 2 days and he’s doing awesome. They are the best and I highly recommend them for anything Equine related.
We have been using Vick for over 10 years and use him a lot. We are a breeding barn so he’s here a lot doing repo work and we will recommend him to everyone who asks for a vet!
I hav known Vic he moved from Texas to Oregon. I do appreciate the way he will give me all the time I need to feel heard and understand what is happening to my horses. He is an old fashioned vet who will get in his truck and show up. He is a common sense, intuitive practitioner. If he is late I never mind because I know he is giving another customer what they need. I've been using Vic and his vets for years. He's knowledgeable and able to work with a variety of budgets. He helped me when my mare broke her jaw and we've been loyal clients since. AEVS is the first place I call when my mare injures herself. I always have my two young children with me and he goes above and beyond to keep them out of harms way and manage the horses. I recommend him and his team to everyone I know.
This vet only cares about money, no compassion for your animal, will talk you into more tests than you need and then when you have to put the animal down will charge you for an exam fee as well as the euthanasia and send you a condolence card that has the wrong sex because they don't bother to make the effort to check.
Vic's been our vet for almost as long as he's been in business here in Hillsboro. We have been through so many things over the years and I can say that, Vic is one fella you can count on knowing what's up. My Betcha, a gelding he has handled since his birth 14 years ago nearly died of an acute impaction. Four or five times a day/night during our battle to keep my guy alive Vic was there.
