Dr. Abkin and his staff are amazing! From the folks at the front desk, nurses, Medical Assistant to the dietician and doctors, they made the entire process so easy. Dr. Abkin has a great bedside manner. He is funny and a pleasure to have as a surgeon. They have the entire gastric sleeve process down to a science (no pun intended). Dr. Abkin and his staff are absolutely the best at what they do. Unbelievably knowledgeable and supportive. I felt so at ease every step of the way!
I have the unique opportunity to see Dr. Abkin work on the surgical side and knew right away he is a great surgeon, I wouldn't recommend anyone else for bariatric surgery. Having a lap band put in by a different surgeon and starting to fail I knew I needed to take the next step. Both my lap band removal and subsequent sleeve couldn't have gone more smoothly, they really take the time to cover the whole process and fully educate their patients before surgery. I'm almost a year out and am so glad I went through the process.
My experience with Dr Abkin and his office staff is always wonderful. The office is always on time and everyone is so professional and knowledgeable. I recommend Dr Abkin and his practice to anybody who might be thinking of bariatric surgery.
I first met Dr. Abkin at a new patient seminar in 2005. Impressed with what I learned, I scheduled an appointment to begin my journey into the world of bariatric surgery. Dr. Abkin came referred to me by a family member. Having the Gastric Sleeve 12/2018, was the 2nd Best thing I ever did. The 1st being my child. Lol... Dr. Abkin and his Staff are ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! Since I had the sleeve, I am no longer Diabetic. Of course I still have to be careful. I feel better than ever.!
