Cannot be trusted – I had an experience almost precisely like Epicrus. They had done some hems and such for me in the past. They were recommended by the staff at Century 21. There were sometimes mistakes but they did an OK job generally. I took a jacket and a couple other things in to be altered a couple months ago, and when I came to pick them up the jacket still wasn't right. I asked them to try again and they grudgingly said ok. Satan's Tailor Shop – This place is awful. I would not recommend going here for even the direst of needs. I have had some work completed that was alright. Never on time, but done reasonably. Recently I went there for some shortening and came back when they suggested and they had not done a thing. I told them that I was coming back two days later. Mixed service, don't expect it on time. – I've taken a number of items there because it's convenient. They did a great job taking in some blue jeans, pretty good on lengthening and shortening some skirts but less than adequate on shortening some shirts. On one, the seam is all bunched at the finish so that the inside sticks out. I didn't bother taking it back, though it's borderline wearable. Although I gave them a week for each job, it's rarely ready on time. They aren't the worst, but are below par.

Hello? Anyone home? – I believe customer service is the key to any business' success; I'd pay more and travel out of my way for great service. Unfortunately, I am unable to rate Alex Tailor Shop's customer service because nobody answers the phone or door during their advertised hours of operation. I bought a suit from Century 21, and as recommended by store personnel I went to Alex Tailor Shop the next morning (Wed, March 16, 2005) to have my pants altered. Lost Pants – I gave them a Hugo Boss suit given their reasonable prices and a positive first experience. When I came to pick it up, the pants were missing and they tried to pass on someone else's pants. When I compained and said they did not match and were the wrong pants, they said call back the next day. I called for 3 days straight and eventually they told me that maybe I never brought the pants. Clearly not reliable, and even with the proximity to Century 21, I would stay away.
