Worst hotel I ever stayed, a lot of homeless people around, horrible front desk service, room smells like 100 years old, A/C not working, breakfast very limited variety, noting to eat…avoid at all cost while you still can.
1 Star – Charged for a Room I Couldn't Even Stay In (July 28) I had a terrible experience at Alex Hotel in Anchorage on July 28 and would strongly advise others to avoid this place. I was first given a room with dirty, used towels stuffed in the closet — clearly not cleaned. I asked to be moved, hoping for a better situation. The second room was somehow worse: there was an exposed mouse trap, a pill on the floor, and trash behind the nightstand. It was filthy and felt completely unsafe. Very basic room, easy to get to from the airport. Had a mouse trap in the room, so check the bed before getting in.
