A popular microbrewery located a little away from the city center, Ale Asylum started off with a humble production capacity of 11,000 barrels. Their consistently good brews met with success and led to an expansion in 2012, with the brewery now capable of producing 50,000 barrels. Took a tour with Dean and leaned so much about the brewery process and cans versus bottles. Had a great time.
Great beer! Excellent bartender Mary. She makes a terrific Bloody Mary (full bar a unique feature at a brewery taproom). Beer samplers very reasonable (6/6oz pours $15). Catfish Po Boy great flavor. Definitely will be back.
Get the Shrimp Burger. Trust me. Seriously. Awesome!!
