What promised to be an amazing h experience was dampened by rather unpleasant staff. I ordered a cafe au lait, and had to describe what that was which was OK, it’s just drip coffee with steamed milk. The girl who took our order was very nice and charged me for what I ordered, however when I went round to the pickup hatch a tattooed lady in the kitchen quite aggressively challenged me saying I hadn’t paid for steamed milk. The bagel was wonderful, although we ordered plain cream cheese the maple flavor was delicious. The staff was rude and snarky, so although I thought the setting was great, I can get a good bagel anywhere. Not only do the not do free coffee refills, they were quite abrasive about it. Bring in some new staff and we will return. The speaker on the patio was so loud that a conversation was impossible.

If you want dirty sink water for coffee, this is the place! Both lattes were disgusting and went into the trash. Waited 45 minutes for 2 lattes, a yogurt parfait and a breakfast sandwich. After 30 minutes I went to check on everything, an older man told me they were “very busy”. Not one person inside the building and maybe about 15 people on the patio. 10/10 do not recommend

Absolutely stunning historical house that is a must-see with a lot of original design still in place. Very much enjoyed the beauty of this place. No millennial grey or lack of detail here! :) Food was good and service was timely when I was there for breakfast. Lots of seating options available.

Stopped by Alden Press Coffee Shop and left pretty underwhelmed. We ordered a lotus, two lattes, a grilled cheese with chips, and two salads with grilled chicken. Total was $71, which already felt a bit steep. The wait was the biggest issue. It took about 30 minutes to get our food, and it wasn’t busy at all. For a pretty simple order, that didn’t make much sense. The lattes were off too. They came out more like cold brews than actual lattes, and weren’t great.
