Truly authentic – I'm from L.A. and I have tired numerous persian restaurants. But let me tell you, this is the one!!!! They know how to do it right, the food is amazing, fresh and authentic. Words can not describe it. Just go there! Put it on your list of "things to do before I die"!!!! Another word, don't leave this world without trying the food at Alborz!

I crave this food! – Wow! What amazing food! I think I've tried everything on the menu by now, and I have to say I still want more! The naan comes out hot and toasty. The appetizer dips must be ordered separately. The pomegranate-walnut stew is surprising, the gormeh sabzi a hearty dish to tuck into. The kebabs are all juicy - particularly the koobideh skewers. The lamb shanks are shockingly delicious... and filling. I could go on, but you should go and discover the treats this place has to offer yourself! Yum

Enchanting Experience – This restaurant was recommended to me by a few of my friends. The minute I walked in I was greeted warmly and seated. The art is beautiful, the music is soothing, and the ambience is exotic. The food was fresh, delicious and the appetizer platter was so beautifully arranged. One of the best things was the freshly baked "NAAN" bread (made as ordered) in various flavors. Infact I ordered extras to take home. The only regret I have is not going to Alborz sooner! Over all I give it a 10 out of 10!

The Real Thing – The restaurant is meticulously decorated with beautiful artwork by the chef. The music is great. The service is friendly and prompt. The food is superb. If you are an undiscriminating eater and would prefer inexpenseive mediocre food, there are plenty of other options (try McDonald's). But if you prefer the highest quality fresh meats, Alborz is the place for you. The average price for an entree is $14. The filet kabobs (lamb and beef) are in the $20's. If you know of a place where I can get an 8oz filet mig... read more

Persian Cuisine at its best – As a trained chef, I have a very discriminating taste for food. The quality of food at Alborz is truly fantastic. I've tried all the Persian restaurants in Seattle, and Alborz has no competition. Truly the best Persian food in Seattle. Worth the price. I loved the saffron rice, juicy steak skewers and generous portions. I couldn't ask for anything more. The ambiance is dreamy with the Chef's artwork displayed on the walls. The service is friendly and responsive. I told my waitress about a mix up... read more

Alborz is not exactly flawless... – To starts off, the food was waaaaay too overpriced. It was hands down the worst Persian food I have ever had. The cook is obviously very inexperienced in the cuisine. The "baghali/sabzi polo" lacked fava beans and instead cooking the dill with the rice, dry dill was added on to the white rice, which made it taste horrible. Throughout my meal I was perplexed by the smallest lamb shank I have ever seen that was served to me. I was only able to pick off a few small pieces of lamb until I was ... read more

Succulent and Juicy....healthy too! – It is only until you open your car door do you realize why those with even the most discernable palate are migrating miles from their cozy eateries in Queen Anne and Belltown to experience what many keep as a secret to themselves. Two words. Grilled Kabob. A lightly flavorful well-sized length of Alborz's Barg Kabob puts the steakhouses to shame. The tenderloin amazing cuts with a fork and is juicy enough so that even starch-haters will scrape every grain of lightly-buttered, fluffy rice... read more

A new dimension for rice – A hushed and serious-seeming restaurant, beautifully decorated. I ordered a dish of rice mixed with lima beans. I love rice - my favorite cookbook is the "Seductions of Rice" recipe book/photojournal - and this dish was really something, fluffy rice grains green and fragrant with dill, the beans flavorful and cooked to perfection, topped with a sprinkling of melting feta cheese and saffron rice lightly coated in butter. My friend the lima-bean hater tried a little of my lima beans and loved them. H... read more
