Very Disappointing Experience – Poor Service and Lack of Empathy. We visited Calgary Lab Services in Airdrie (217 Centre Ave W #103, Airdrie, AB T4B 3L8) on April 7, 2026, at 5:20 PM as a walk-in. Based on their online system, walk-ins are typically accepted up to 30 minutes before closing (6:00 PM). My wife arrived at 5:20PM but she was refused service. I have an appointment today, March 10 at 10:20 AM. I was in the lab at 10:10 AM to check in. I was helped by the name Maria and if I am not mistaken she is a Filipina. The lab is pretty busy and I can see there are lots of walk in. Around 11:00 AM, I approached Maria again how much more time for me to wait? She said check your name in the screen but I told her those are for walk in only. I told her again my appointment is 10:20. She just said your name is in the system. Experience with the staff was great every time I went there. It was always packed regardless of what time it was…that’s the main issue. Airdrie needs another location as population grows.
The staff at APL are overworked and undersupplied and they managed to make it work. Helen truly went above and beyond to make sure things went smoothly for me. Huge thanks to the wonderful staff.
Thank you Aklima for being so kind and efficient. Anytime I go for blood work they can never find my vein and I end up getting poked 3 to 4 times. Thank you for making my experience so smooth!
