We were referred to him by a social worker because there are not many pediatric psychiatrists available in the area. A child receiving care was not improving in fact getting worse. Dr. Kioegler saved the day because he spent a lot of time with our family until a proper diagnosis was made. Dr K has treated a family member for over 3 years now. He is patient, thorough, supportive, and listens to the patient and the parents. He's had to deal with a number of issues and play different roles through our child's development. We always feel he listens and is careful in his diagnosis and treatment. No ego or agenda. This is not an exact science and each adolescent's brain chemistry and develop is different, so not every med was a home run. That should not be one's expectation. Hmmmm.....doesn’t call a 10 year patient back because the patient had to cancel (more than 24 hours prior to appointment?) That’s called malpractice.

One of the best! He had come highly recommended by two mental health providers locally and we were very grateful. He spent 90 minutes getting to know our teenager and family before making specific recommendations. He was detailed, thorough and very warm. I would not hesitate to refer others to him.

We like Dr. Koegler. He listens carefully, and he is not condescending. When we need to get a hold of him for a med refill, to schedule an appointment, etc, he always gets back to us in a timely fashion. We would most definitely recommend him.

Excellent psychiatrist. Considers all variables in treatment, and very thorough. Had genetic testing to determine my response to certain medications, and adjusted prescriptions accordingly.
