Alaska Salmon Bake has been a landmark institution of the Alaskan dining scene for over three decades. Specialties include the salmon, which is grilled to perfection on their open-wood grill, and the beer-battered Bering Sea Cod. The restaurant offers an all-you-can-eat buffet of these dishes and other seafood specialties each night of the week. This Fairbanks favorite is situated in Pioneer Park, which makes it the perfect place to enjoy Fairbanks' history while savoring local cuisine.

The Cod and prime rib are still good. The salmon is actually marketed as silverbrite salmon. It is still Alaska salmon. That is the marketing name for chum or also known as dog salmon. I find this very sad still charging high price and serving the lowest quality salmon. So if you are looking for a decent meal of prime rib and cod. Still a good place to go and eat with out of town friends or family. Not the place to go for great Alaskan Salmon.
My husband and I moved from AK to FL for work purposes and the Salmon Bake is probably what I miss the most.
Miss the salmon bake! Live in colorado now, but the three years we lived there it was a regular!
