We had an excellent experience with Alaska Company when purchasing our new fireplace. Craig, the owner, spent a great deal of time with us to make sure we selected the best fireplace for our needs. He explained all the options clearly and never tried to push us toward a more expensive model. His honesty and knowledge made the entire process easy and comfortable. Absolutely disgusted by the customer service this company provides. I have not had heat since before the snowstorm and I reached out to them explaining the situation. They told me they would not be able to make it till the week after. They called me the night before the appointment to cancel it. When I booked my appointment I emphasized the need for them to come as soon as possible and emphasized the importance and coordination it will take for me to be off to be there for them that day. I must give this company a zero rating. I purchased a house in Masthope about 3 years ago and they were the company who installed my gas fireplace unit. From day one, the unit did not burn properly. I called the company and a repairman did come to look at it. I was told the company used the wrong fitting. I use liquid propane to heat my house and they used a natural gas fitting. Had a great experience with this company. Knowledgeable, willing to help, not pushy. Prompt on the install and installers very reputable. Leaving 1 Star off because I didn't realize the unit would make a beep noise every time the pilot lit and then again when the main part lit. Was not warned about that. Extremely annoying. Other than that, all good.
They seem to not care about you once paid, nor service what they install. There are better rated places with better service .
