RecommendedSean and Alex were the solid foundation to a great trip in Katmai where the foundation wasn’t always solid! I would highly recommend a trip with AAA. With Nico on logistics, you can’t go wrong.
We would highly recommend having Ian and Matt as your guides. This was a perfect trip for us!
We had an experience we will remember forever. Our guides Melissa and Brian were outstanding. Tom, who does the base camp manager job in Denali goes above and beyond making sure we LNT and are safe in camp.
Our trip got changed due to the weather, but our guides Melissa and Rebecca did an awesome job of making the best of it for us. We all had an epic time. Hope to get back to Alaska again soon and would definitely book again with Alaska Alpine Adventures.

I had the most amazing time! I loved my guides and the adventures we embarked on. To do all the stuff we did in those 9 days on my own would have been a great endeavor in logistics and money. I am so happy I entrusted this type of travel with AAA. From Gourmet Camp Meals to Basecamp Tom to Team Spongebob to everything in between, my Alaska dreams came true. Ill be back...thinking Lake Clark next!!! Thank you to the entire team.
From beginning to end...AAA is awesome. Trip planning to the very end...not a detail missed. Just finished 10 days on the Turquoise Glacier High Route; Matt and Gabe were simply amazing guides. We will be back!
We completed a 4 day 3 night hike called Denali Unexplored Base Camp Hiking. We took a float plane from Talkeetna to a glacier lake situated on the edge of Ruth Glacier. It was a picture perfect day to fly. We landed on the lake and grabbed our gear and hiked to our base camp. It was four days of exploring where there were no trails to speak of and beauty all around. It was the best part of our 3 week trip to Alaska.
