My husband went for his first visit with Dr. Zacharias today. He has had a multitude of medical issues but when all the physical issues were addressed, we needed to know if any of the remaining ones were neurologically based. Getting an appointment took some time but he came so well recommended I was will to wait. He had gone over my husband's medical records extensively before we arrived. These were records from a number of doctors in Boulder, Anschutz and Mayo. We've become pretty good at weeding out doctors that should ha... read more
Dr Zacharias has been caring for me since my epilepsy came back with a vengeance a few years ago. He is always pleasant, respectful and interested in ensuring I am as confident as possible. I appreciate his attitude and support. We tried a couple of medications and have landed on one which suits me perfectly.
So pleased with Dr. Zacharias. His tip to begin a new medication Aimovig is a game-changer. I have experienced migraines for numerous years and am grateful for his help
From the begining of my neurological problems Dr. Z told me he didn't know the cause and it would probably go away on it's own. He did point out a cyst in my brain, but insisted it was not the cause. I have continued to get worse. I've had migrains for over 2 months now. Getting in to see him for more tests was impossible and when i did get the tests done and they were negative or inconclusive for the most common neurological conditions, he still insited the cyst isn't causing my symptoms. He will give it no credence, even t... read more
My spouse with a brain injury and I had a terribly frustrating, nonsensical 'consult' with Zacharias last week. He was supposed to evaluate my spouse to check his current condition as a precurosr to rehab which he had never received. After a half hour of chit chat we asked him when he would do the evaluation and he said "I'm doing it now"! He was very withholding, not answering our questions, did not offer anything in the way of help, was cold, curt and dismissive. I don't understand these reviews where the patient says that... read more
I've been seeing Dr. Zacharias for over 10 years for Multiple Sclerosis. He is good at explaining things, answers all my questions and listens to my concerns. When talking about treatment options, we talk about pros /cons and decide together the next step. I always feel valued and respected not only by Dr. Zacharias but his entire staff.
Dr. Zacharias listened to me patiently and figured out what my problem is. To finally have a diagnosis helps tremendously. He recommended several treatments that made sense. I am glad I went to him and would highly recommend him.
Dr. Zacharias has been my Neurologist for years & he’s worked really hard & done everything he can to help me with my chronic migraines & chronic headaches. He’s always nice & always listens. I’d easily recommend him to any one of my friends who needed a Neurologist. Side note: I am currently receiving Botox for my migraines from him & he let me listen to music on my earbuds while he gave me the shots (in my head & face). Helped exponentially. I know plenty of docs who would’ve said no.
After 2½ yrs & 5 neurologists, each passing me to the next, Dr. Zacharias diagnosed me at Emory Univ Med in Atlanta GA. He moved & I was back on the neurologist merry-go-round. I got worse 11/2016 & Googled Dr. Zacharias. It took 6 wks for 1st appt, a few days for 2nd. It takes us 8+ hrs to get to Boulder, but I trust him, he listens, answers my questions, & asst, Dani is kind & helpful. He is the only truly compassionate neurologist that I've seen in 20 yrs.
