Through my personal experience dealing with Dr. Rubin, I can easily that he is one of the greatest psychiatrists currently in practice in NYC. He is knowledgable, caring, skilled, and compassionate. Scheduling appointments is very easy. The penthouse for his nyc office is always clean and neat. I trust every decision Dr. Rubin makes when it comes to medications being prescribed. If you are looking for a psychiatrist, GO TO DR. RUBIN! HE'S THE BEST OF THE BEST!!
I have had the good fortune of being a patient of Dr. Rubins for 27 years. The reason is because I have a great relationship with him & the care he has given me is top shelf! He has done nothing but take unbelievable care of me & in the last 10 years my husband as well. Our lives are better because of Dr. Rubin.
What a wonderfully professional experience. I have had nothing but positive experiences with this office. Dr. Rubin is a dedicated and talented professional. I've been going to him for 15+ years and he has never disappointed me. His staff is nothing short of dedicated professionals. I have recommended him to many friends, family and strangers with no reservations. Those who chose to avail themselves of his services have had nothing but good things to say.
In tears after I left his office, don't even know where to begin. He extracted a front tooth without discussing it with me and gave me a prosthetic tooth that looked like it was made out of silly putty! It kept falling out and to make it worse, after he extracted the tooth, he told me he didn't know if I was a candidate for an implant!!!! When I spoke to him about what he had done he said it had to happen. I told him he should have given me the opportunity to obtain a second opinion!

6/11/2016 I know the past five years have been difficult due to the passing of your sister, who we too remember fondly, No treatment is ever performed without informed consent. Likewise, we don't recommend any procedures that are not necessary. You know this from having been a patient for over 5 years. It has also been 5 years since we have seen you. I would be glad to discuss it further with you if you'd give us a call. We don't want to lose a good relationship simply because of money.
I have been going to Dr. Rubin for 4 years and is absolutely wonderful. He is so kind and really takes the time to know his patients. He is always on schedule which is a big plus! My previous Doctor kept me waiting for hours. But I've never waited more than 5 minutes for Dr Rubin. He is very professional and really knows his stuff. He has changed my life! Several of my friends and family members see him as well and I would recommend him to anyone.
I have contacted this doctor twice and not received a response. Yet he claims to be accepting new patients. This response is aggravating my condition as he is not the only psychiatrist ignoring requests for appointments. I did mention my health insurance plan. Does this indicate a passive aggressive response to not wanting to deal with insurance?
The doc was treating our daughter and during this time, she had a very bad night, reaction to medicine, etc... My wife called to review this and left a message. The next day the doctor saw my daughter and told her he couldn't treat her any longer and kicked her to the curb. This was very irresponsible because my daughter needed help and also to start moving off the drugs gradually, not be told he couldn't help her. We thought that's what a psychiatrist is supposed to do? Would not recommend him
Dr. Rubin saved my life. He gave me the appropriate medication and I feel great! I would recommend him to anyone.
I have going to Dr Rubin for more than 5 years. He has been very helpful with controlling my Panic attacks. I would recommend him.
