I have had my current glasses made then re made at this clinic. Tried no line bifogals, there was no correcton at the bottom of the lens to see up close so I decided to try regular bifogals. The line where the two seperate lenses meet up is so mismatched that it creates such a double vision effect that I would not dare drive with such potencial risk of harm to myself and others! The worst eye clinic in Portland – My son needed vision therapy and I took him to Hawthorne Vision Center between March and June of 2008. Before the first visit, I called them and made sure our vision insurance was accepted and there seemed to be no problem. But after the third and last visit in June, I was told that our insurance covered only routine eye exams, not therapeutic treatments my son was receiving, and that I had to pay for the last three visits out of my pocket. Dr. Love is excellent!! – I went here and by luck got seen by Dr. Love. He is very friendly and professional. I was very pleased w/ my eye exam. He even was considerate in thinking about cost and didn't push to do a contact lens fitting for a new brand of contacts b/c it would be expensive , so instead favored to use my current brand even though it was an older style. My Family's Eye Doc – I have a reocurrent eye disease. Due to its random and potentially damaging nature, I often need to be seen by Dr. Demaree on very last minute notice. I have always been fit it her schedule, often same day, without being made to feel like I am "a bother". My wife changed to Dr. Demaree's office after seeing the quality of care. UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES! – My 11 year old with Asperger Syndrome happened to see Dr. Demaree for the first time for a recheck on a minor eye problem. His file explained that he was autistic and has sensory issues, he also gets nervous around doctors which many kids do. My mother accompanied him to this appt. since I could not. best place for glasses on hawthorne. – i have been seeing dr. demory and her staff for two years. they are wonderful and helpful. the glasses in the shop are competitivly priced and the staff are wonderful and knowlegeable.
