I'm an agent in Houston and this was the first time doing a transaction with this team/ location. During the transaction, they were thorough and very communicative with me via email and phone. The day of closing went smooth, despite them being super busy. They were attentive to my buyers and made them at ease with all of the paperwork. I don't do a lot of business in the area, but I will use them again if given the chance.

Make sure you pay attention to previous owners tax information on your settlement statement. Even though Alamo knew the previous owner was deceased for over a year they still calculated taxes using the prev homestead and over 65 exemptions which shorted me over $3,000 at closing and they wont do anything about it. I would think this should be covered with title insurance but I get nothing but a runaround from Alamo. They knew the seller info but when taxes came due it was calculated without prorating prev deductions. I am ve... read more
