At Alameda Bicycle i was charged for work and parts i did not approve of. I went in for 2 bikes. 3 tires, tubes and wheel true. I wanted to keep the back tire as it was good. My tire and tube were stolen, and my brakes were put back on improperly so my bike does not stop. When brought to the attention of the person I was doing business with I was offered a 15% discount on the parts I didn't want on my bike to begin with. And they did not fix my brakes either.
You clearly can see they judge a book by its cover. He must of thought “this Mexican guy must not have no money” cause it almost slipped out but he causing himself to Quickly rephrased what he was going to say which at the end he still said “we only have expensive bike here” like I don’t know that already... if I wanted a cheap bike I could of gone to target but I went to them for a reason.
I'm just used to much friendlier service from my regular bike shop (Castro Valley Cyclery). Won't ever spend a dime here again.
