As always, a very pleasant experience. All the people are warm, concerned, and kind -- even to us who have that 'white coat' syndrome!!
Dr. Lauren hurt me, after she finished filling my cavity, she was adding more Novocain or pain killer into the roof of my mouth, and didn't preface it with any numbing gel because she felt I was already numb, but she was putting the needles into the roof of my mouth and she could surely see that I was in great pain, but she persisted in putting additional needle pricks into the roof of my mouth regardless of the pain it was causing me.In the past, other Dentist have always used a gel, that would numb the area, wait 3 to 10 m... read more

Dear John, I am very sorry to hear that you had a negative experience here. I deeply apologize if I caused you pain. I really strive to minimize pain for patients as best I can. One thing about the injections on the roof of the mouth is that they are more tender than the ones on the cheek side and the tissue is different in that area and the numbing gel is not effective. I had prep work done for my crown. The work that Dr. Tabis and her assistant Kim did was Fantastic. Their teamwork was incredible. I was so well cared for and monitored. I had very minimal discomfort!!
My experience with Alachua Family Dentistry is always excellent from the treatment and service I receive to the background music they play. I have recommended them to others and will continue to do so.
The Staff are all very friendly! They made Us feel at ease about all the procedures of our dental care. They are a great team!
