I am particular about choosing a doctor, I looked online and chose Dr. Shaheen after I read his background information which stated he attended Malone University at one point. As I also am a Christian, I felt I could trust his care. I had very painful stomach pain and could not eat without pain. Sometimes I was in pain whether I was eating or not. I lost 12 lbs in 3 weeks. I have been a patient with Dr Shaheen for over 15 years. He is always very professional, helpful and caring about my health concerns. Dr Shaheen is very easy to talk to and is excellent about explaining my diagnosis and treatments. Julie Walk, CMA, is so kind in her follow up calls to me. She talked through all of my questions and is very patient, friendly and so kind!! I am very grateful for the excellent care I receive!!!!!
Tried to make an appointment due to abdominal pain, I was told they would not make an appointment until they had my medical records. Even though it was going to take weeks to be seen, they still wouldn't schedule an appointment. Whoever I spoke with wasn't nice about it either.
Dr.Shaheen preformed my endoscopy in January of 2022. I had suffered with reflux and a hernia for years. He discovered that my hernia was worse and I had 5 ulcers in my esophagus. He was genuinely concerned but he told me the truth. I needed surgery to fix my hernia and weight loss surgery. I know some patients might be put off by honesty like that, but it was a major turning point in my life. I had my hernia repaired and Gastric Sleeve surgery 9/29/22.
